CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
The founders of Budapest Beyond Sightseeing have been taking the social responsibility as a major issue since the beginning, 2007.
It is our endeavor to generate and support local social, economical and cultural processes.
We believe in long-term thinking enterprise with the cooperation of all possible participants.
In this way we break negative stereotypes, and we present a relatively slummy district (the 8th) with an outstandingly positive attitude, focusing on possibilities instead of weaknesses. By this special place marketing, we assure the sustainable development.
It was also an important aim for us to introduce and create the Hungarian tradition of a new, unique and creative way of quality touristic services in Budapest. As another innovation we aim our programs not only for foreigners, but for Hungarians as well.
For all these aims and actions we are considered as a ’societal enterprise’. As Budapest Beyond Sightseeing efficiently achieved these intentions, the European Commission identified us as a ’Good Practice’ in 2009.
Have a look at our CSR slideshow!
In the past 4 years we have organized many free programs, where:
-
Local 8th district citizens could discover and recognize the values of their neighborhood;
-
The former neglected district was re-introduced to Budapest residents;
-
Journalists from Hungary and abroad were shown a valuable, reality based face of Budapest;
-
Those could participate whom could not afford it otherwise.
